I thought the same thing when they told me there was a line at 7!

 

In all honestly it has gotten out of control. From Zhukov limited to one bottle per person and now to Jose Marti having it kept behind the counter and also limited to one per person.

 

The Total Wine in Fort Lauderdale keeps most of their Cigar City behind the counters and limits one per person. Most of it is gone the day it comes in. The only stuff you may find lying around are Maduro, Helles, and Cucumber Saison. It's almost a lost cause trying to buy any Jai Alai or special release there. I have resorted to checking other stores.

 

Damn that's crazy. I love the hunt though.

 

My total wine did 1 per for Tocobaga. Tocobaga for christ sake. I say sell the guy in front of me the last six pack because I don't want just one 12oz bottle.

 

Yeah I was at TW a couple of months ago and asked them at the counter if they had Jose Marti, because it said they did on the website. They said they just sold the last one and then they offered me one 12 oz bottle of CCB Patio Pils. I took it just because I hadn't tried it yet, but I agree they should just sell 4-pk/6-pks instead of one 12 oz bottle.

 

I was the tall dude laughing when you gave them the #14 knowing I had 13.

 

I was the guy with the screaming 2 year old. Beer hunting is not as fun with all that going on and a lot more difficult.

 

Well, the hoopla is well worth it, if you can find it. I just find it funny that the other BA's not from around here think that it being "distro'd" means it's "widely" available. They could've sold them all out at the brewery 1pp no problem

 

Yeah I think people outside the area are having a hard time gauging the scarcity of this beer, I would hardly call a case per retailer gone in 60 seconds "distributed".

 

Did they ever say how much was produced?

 

I think I saw the guy from bottle rack at TW this morning.

 

I heard 110 cases - 40 at the brewery and 70 for distro.

 

Aww ok the 2 y/o is a dead give away.

 

JJT told me 100 cases were for distro.

 

No one buys CCB anymore, it's too popular.

 

if the maths serve me right, that comes out to about 380 cases, or ~4500 bottles.

 

My buddy snagged me a bottle in Orlando. Happy happy happy

 

The brewpub sold 110 cases alone. With no bottle limit mind you..... This all happened in about 4-5 hours. People coming in and throwing 1000$ down and walking with 3-4 cases is obscene.
