Maybe you'll want to set up an IP trade or two for when you come down, I'm sure there are those of us who got more than 1-2 bottles.

That's incredibly shysty of them. Such an insane markup.

Don't really have any ammo..... I'll try to buy one, and cross my fingers.

I do not think the guidelines are the same for on site consumption as off.

This gentleman is talking about a World of Beer, which i believe is a primarily on site beer consumption establishment. They are not going to be selling any beer at the same price as a package store.

$21.99??? What!? I thought it was $25 at the brewery.

Beer is often sold for more at the brewery than retail outlets.

This is a new beer we're talking about here. Of course, I've seen older beers or beers broken down into singles cheaper than the brewery, but a brand new 750ml bottle??? Am I totally missing out on something here? Costco and its equals may have cheaper beer than the brewery as well, but not for a limited release, highly sought after beer. At least not in my experience.

Pretty much every CCB beer is cheaper in retail than the brewery.

Humidor Double Black was $15 brewery, $12 retail, for instance. Cucumber Saison was $13 brewery, $10-11 retail.

Jose Marti even is $11 brewery, $9 or so retail.

CC always overprices compared to stores. I am getting Good Gourd for $11 when it's $15 at the brewery. Cucumber Saison $10 2 days ago. I'll never buy seasonals at the brewery anymore because I see them sitting on shelves all the time for cheaper.

Yes, I thought it had to do with the 3-tier system and they don't charge tax at the brewery...

Lets not forget that catador members only paid $22.50 per bottle out the door. A bottle that sits on the shelf at $21.99 walks out the door at $23.53

I think GG was $13 at CCB, but yes, still cheaper normally at stores.

To me, you are paying more at the Brewery for convenience and in most cases, no worries about limited quantities/fighting lines to get it.

I am sure they charge tax, it's just included in the price.

Well hot damn, thanks for the info guys. Thankfully, my trustee has been buying beers like Good Gourd, Marshal Zhukov and Cucumber Saison at his local store. I guess that's why I'm happy he's my trustee and knows more than I do. Cheers!

You pay more at the brewery, because tax is included and they round up to make the price look nice. Nobody likes looking at a price tag that says $12.57.

Perhaps a ZJ is in store for your trustee?

    Not always.

I can pay $10.49 + tax for Jai Alai at TW, or $11 at CCB. Advantage CCB

But generally speaking, 750's are usually a few bucks more at CCB and some 4 packs like Jose Marti/Cubano are as well.

They must be using a lower profit margin on the JA.

It would make sense to me that CCB has slightly higher/ the same price as local retailers as a way to encourage them to purchase and stock the product. If you were a local bottle shop, and CCB was always priced lower than you, that might lessen the incentive to carry the product. It basically levels the playing field, because if I could buy my CCB regulars, etc. for 2 bucks cheaper at the brewery, that's where I'd go. I know this not make sense to someone 100 miles away, but they can't exactly dual price for non locals lol. Just my 2 cents.
