Sounds like the official beer from my senior prom.

 

The official beer of my senior prom was vodka from a plastic bottle.

 

Just got home from CCB/WOB and realized my Forgotten Island I went to pick up wasn't in my case. After having a mini panic attack I called and found out I left it at the growler bar and can pick it up later. Crisis averted.

 

Abc on 4th street in st Pete is sold out. Shep's still has 1 left, but it is $30

 

Life is Like is a good beer, but I am amazed at everyone going crazy over it like it's the last beer ever made and stocking up for the next 6 winters.

Too much other great beer available for me to scramble around chasing a $25 beer. One for myself and maybe one for a trading partner is plenty.

For those stocking up, have you even tried it yet? I did last weekend, and again, a very good beer but not something I'd want/need to drink more than once or twice. I mean, I'm not going to turn a pour down or anything, but I'm also not going bat shit crazy racing all over to get it either.

 

I'm going to crack mine on Sunday with some good friends.

 

Half the fun is in the chase, the other half is hooking up good trade partners with extras I don't need

 

Yea its getting pretty crazy. I'm just glad I got a case last Friday at the brewpub.

to each is own I suppose. I actually think the chase is what's the bad part about beer these days. Thankfully, the El Catador Club helped eliminate any need for me to do it. I know now at a minimum I'm guaranteed at least 5 very good beers and in most cases extras. I'm perfectly fine with that.

 

I like the chase the way it stands right now: there is some effort involved, but for the most part you know you aren't going to strike out completely

 

Thanks for the tip, I've gotten my 5 bottles. If I buy any more my discover card is going to melt and my wallet will burst into flames.

Crazy the growth recently. Even 9 months ago, Bourbon Big Sound sat in the tasting room for a very long time, relatively speaking. Now, 100 cases of Zhukov go in a day! Just last year, Moat Water was plentiful in Lakeland, now Lakeland can rarely get anything besides the core four and an occasional few cases of Cucumber or 1 case of Zhukov.

2 years ago it was even longer that most beers were available. I guess this is all great news for CCB, and maybe i was just spoiled for awhile being one of a far lesser crowd who have enjoyed their great beer for the last few years.
