I hear what you're saying. I've been drinking CCB for years as well. BA big sound may have lasted a while a year ago, but Leon and imperial sweet stout went just as fast back then as they would today. Those small local breweries that don't get swamped with every release are still out there and there are new ones opening every day.

I've had it, and I think its an amazing beer, phenomenal actually. Can't wait till CCB does a bourbon BA dipa, just IMAGINE the shit storm that will be...

I'll likely pass on a BA DIPA, unless it is a Catador release.

I liken the Life is Like to something like Chocolate Rain for me. A great beer, but just too rich and sweet to drink much of. Definitely not something i want to stock up to drink on a regular basis, especially for the price. I do understand though that the popular thing right now is to do is just that, however.

Give me 2 bottles of Zhukov all day over that.

Picked up a couple bottles (with my fiance) at TW St. Pete a few hours ago. Had dinner out, just got home, and noticed.... one of the bottles isn't exactly "full". I just measured that the fill line is 3 1/2" from the bottom of the cap. Called TW St. Pete and they said to bring it back for a refund. I told them I'd rather just trade it in. Can't do... sold out.

Is 3 1/2" down (ok, maybe it's really 3" from a normal fill line) worth bitching about? How much is that really? 1 1/2 oz? I don't know, that's why I ask.

More the reason I bring it up... is that a normal fill amount, and most of my other bottles have been overfilled all this time?

I noticed this as well. I was lucky to get 5 bottles at my local shop. Three seemed to have a normal fill level and two seemed to be noticeably lower.

I would imagine that this is not much beer in the long run considering how thin the bottle is at the top. I'll just drink those and trade away the "full ones"

Fiance and I were at dinner, and she said, "Babe, you should do some type of event at the house sometime, where we have a bunch of people over and you sample a lot of your beers and you can pair them with different cheeses and desserts."

    I love this woman. *

So, I decided I'll just use the "low pour bottle" for the tasting event to be held in the somewhat near future.

    * Of course, she likely has ulterior motives.... like helping me whittle down the 120+ 750ml bottles I have going, not to mention about 200 12 oz. bottles.

Some host you are, using the lower filled bottle to split amongst 10 people.

Got one bottle at CCB, and two more at my local bottle shop. I'm done; the hype for this beer has been insane and a little off-putting (of course, I'm VERY guilty of this too). Sometimes I need to remember that this is just beer.

This my friend, sounds like a really nice day in the world of craft beer finds. I'm thinking there was a Zhukov in the cooler also to your avail at CCB as well should you have so desired? Nice..........
