I just like making fun of beer geeks.

And yes, I'm well aware that I am often from the same cloth.

 

I am wondering after this how long it will be until ABC and TW stop accepting phone calls regarding beer availability. God knows I would if I had to deal with dozens of calls a day. Just start referring people to twitter/FB.

 

Dude, let's not kid ourselves here. You bought a case to drink some, yes. But we BOTH know you bought a case (or however many) to have trade bait. Which, there is nothing wrong with that but let's be honest.

And by you, I mean most geeks who bought a fuck load of bottles upon release, before ever sipping. Those that drove all around town rentlessly looking for it. Very few are going to buy a $300 case of beer for personal consumption before ever trying it. Very few will do it even if they try it. But many will knowing that even if they don't like it, they can flip it for personal walez.

I know because I used to do the same thing. I'm just now a beer geek in recovery.

 

Now I'm hungry for Chicken and Dumplings.

I just noticed the database here shows it as 15% ABV. The label doesn't show anything.

Is that correct, or just some guess?

 

Here is what gunhaver said "we never put ABV on barrel-aged beers. but it's somewhere around 10ish"

Yep, no clue on that. I wonder if someone is basing that 15% of the 15% from Forgotten Island.

 

I thought the same thing... especially since CCB made it widely known it's their highest ABV beer yet.
