Get something like a witbeer or a hefeweissen, everyone from craft drinkers to macro drinkers seem to like them

Oh yea, I only plan on buying a case of it. I was thinking Sierra Nevada or I think Founders will be in my market just before the wedding. I have never had it, but with all the great reviews I thought that might be a good option.

Someone offered up Two Hearted? Seriously?

I find there is nothing wrong with having beer available that many people that come to your wedding will want. Personally, I dislike weddings where people push their own agendas on everyone there...ie a vegetarian couple that doesn't provide any meat options. I mean how would they feel if a meat eating couple didn't provide a vegetarian option?

I think the same with beer. So, my suggestion for a light beer would be either Coors Light, Miller Lite, or Sam Adams light if you think that people would still be ok with that.

Artisan Works definitely can be found online. It requires a membership if you want to get married there, but it's minimal and you can tour it year round and go to special events with the membership.

Sound like a neat place to stop next time we visit Rochester

If you don't actually need a light beer then I'd say go with Southern Tier's Hop Sun.

I'm also getting married in June and we're paying for the wedding ourselves as well. I'm brewing 2 batches of homebrew, getting a local keg, and providing bottles of Bud Light for anyone who doesn't want craft.

Can you get the canned Sankaty Light from Cisco? It might be the best light beer I've ever had.

Yes, should be here by end of May. I know Lake Dist. got it for Rochester. I don't know if they will go through your Bud Dist. for your area or not.

Why not Sierra Nevada Pale or
    Or a light Hefe?

I didnt read all the way through but are you looking for light in the name?

    Cheers!

Ha, I am looking for something for some guests who think Yeungling is a heavy/dark beer. I guess I should have put it that way. I just want everyone to have a good time and not worry about changing anyone.

Well it is a Red ale IIRC. Some might think the malty combination is a bit rough. I would try a Hefeweizen for them. They might enjoy the peppery yeast.

    Cheers!

And that is a terrific attitude. If you've been to other bigger parties/events with roughly the same crowd, you should have an idea what they really want to drink.

If you're going to be a jerk, at least quote me and do it to my interwebz face.

Not that I have to defend myself, but that beer is extremely accessible to non-craft drinkers, as well as being pretty inexpensive and widely available. Serving Pliny is "push[ing] [your] agendas on everyone there"; Two Hearted isn't.

And I only offered it in the context of if he's looking for a "light drinker," as opposed to a literal light beer, which wasn't 100% clear to me.

Yeah, that's why I asked for clarification. I think Sam Adams light usually "wins" the threads asking for the best light beer, at least in the handful of months I've been on BA (in which it's come up several times).

If you can get it, Yards Philadelphia Pale Ale. 4.3abv and flavorful. A good sub for light beer.
