What does that even mean? Michelob Ultra tastes closest to sparkling water. That's pretty much how it tastes idk if it's made by them or Stone, that's no BMC hate.

More importantly, who reads reviews for light adjunct lagers in the first place?

I do when I am reviewing them. My suggestion is Coors Light or Miller Lite as I have not ever seen or tasted the Labatt Blue light.

Munch on some popcorn, pretzels, nuts, nacho chips and any of those will be great wash. They aren't real beer, but they're still good, cold thirst quenchers with the bonus of containing more alcohol than water:astonished:

You more than likely won't like any. Bud light is water so that might be the "best". I say drink bourbon or rum and cokes. Shit give coors light a try! The colder the better.

Bring your most effete snifter and some corked, dusty 750 of a RIS with a name that evokes Dungeons and Dragons. Sip away in isolation all night and periodically take notes and you'll be just fine.

Obviously Coors Light. It's the coldest beer around!

Not to speak for Jesskidden, but how useful could any review of any beer be that is written by someone who thinks any beer at all tastes like a urinal cake or who is unable to pick up any flavors at all from a light flavored beer, even when they don't like the beer?

Well writing a review like that isn't appropriate, but just posting in the forums how it tastes like that, who cares. Michelob Ultra does mainly taste like water. How could a beer with like 95 calories and 2.6 grams of carbs not taste very watered down?

I still don't understand how people can keep making this argument. I can understand how AAL's can be waterY, but straight up water? If they all truly taste like water than that whole "adding of ingredients" bit seems like a waste of time.

Folks that claim they can differentiate between the plum and fig notes in a barrel aged stout, sure have a hard time with lager differences, don't they?

Drink 3 of each. Then drink some shots. You be having more fun than most of these dudes. If that does not work drink 5 of each. You will have more fun than most.

That's why I don't write reviews. I do taste more then water flavored beer but really theres not a big enough difference between the one's I've had to justify one over the other.

Well, even tho' explaining a joke often kills it, the point of my post was not that, quite understandably, two people described light beers as "watery" (I mean, it's almost redundant to say it- it's sort of the what the style IS). The point was the juxtaposition of those two brief comments with the ever popular comment about adjunct light lagers and light/lite beer being similar to urine, sometimes human, sometimes from other members of the animal kingdom. And, in this case, a combination of not just urine but a rather powerful, eye-watering deodorizer.

So, yeah, "everyone's palate is different" (as the BA mantra goes) but, still...

Light beers are harmless enough, they don't suck, you won't die drinking one. They are obvious light on everything, taste, ABV, malt, on a hot day or beach you could do worse than a Miller Lite. I obviously prefer other stuff, but I have an occasional Light beer, it helps to keep the weight down.

Taste a Bud Select 55 and tell me they shouldn't have stopped at canning water. It's just what there's a market for. Normal light beers have some flavor, but beers that are going for lightest beers in the world are pretty much water.
