Two boxes arrived today!

Thanks HuskerMike12 for the Melange #3 and Duff27 for the Black Butte XXI and what I presume is a homebrew cider based on the sticker on the cap! Really looking forward to this stuff, and especially excited to the try the homebrew!

 

Yup, homebrew. It's a stout that I put eised-fermented cider soaked oak spirals into the secondary of, pretty oaky!

Received another box - Thanks mymrngjckt! La Roja GR is one of my favorites! I've never had Black Albert, and I'm really looking forward to trying it! Awesome extra!

I think I'm getting a Baller Stout and a Darkness as part of this LIF too, and I have Dark Lord, so along with this Black Albert that could make an interesting tasting of some of the components that created Baller Stout.

More boxes have arrived! I have not been keeping up on the haul photos, but here goes...


Thank you Desaparecido! Melange was one of the first Bruery beers I ever had, and needless to say it got me hooked! (In fact, I've traded with Desaparecido for RS beers before, and look forward to again in the future!) I've never had anything from Schlafly, and this Bourbon Barrel Aged Stout is right up my alley!...and vintage 2006!?! Holy Cow! This is probably going to be the "oldest" beer I've ever had! I've traded with Desaparecido before, and as always, he nailed it with this box! Thank you!!!

And then, on Friday another box showed up at my house...

Thank you GrumpyOldTroll! Can't wait to drink this BA Hi-Fi Rye! I have heard great things, but never had the chance to try it. And an extra! A great beer that I always enjoy, Miles Davis Bitches Brew...and not always that easy to find around here, so I really appreciate the extra!

And today, I just got home from a friend's house to find yet another box on my porch (I'm really getting used to this by the way!)

Thank you totoropanda! Another awesome box! Better Half - I'm a big Founders fan, and the Backstage Series has really impressed me! And another extra - WOW! I have not had many beers from Boulevard, but I enjoyed the ones I have tried, so I'm excited about this one!

Thanks again to everyone! I continue to be truly amazed by the incredible generosity of this community! I am really appreciative of everything I have received so far - including some big time extras! I just heard from another BA that another box is en route, so I will have some more pictures up here soon! But for now, I gotta get back to drinking my winnings!!!

 

3 more boxes arrived yesterday!



Thank you Ungertaker! I haven't had much from Surly, but I received a Wet as an extra in a trade last year, and ever since I have wanted to get my lips on that delicious beer again! Furious has been one of my top wanted IPAs for quite some time too, so I am pumped to get the chance to drink this one - in fact, I couldn't wait...I'm drinking it as I write this. Good stuff - this lives up to the expectations, and I will be looking for more Surly soon!!!



The second box of the day came from seeswo! Thanks for the Eclipse! After delving into the world of BA stouts, Eclipse was one that helped bring me over to the dark side for good. It's a great beer, and I always look forward to cracking an Eclipse with some friends!



Thanks crushedvol! Awesome - another BA Hi Fi Rye! I have heard such good things about this beer, and now I can't believe I am lucky enough to have two bottles of it! And what a great extra too! FFF is one of my favorite breweries, but unfortunatley I don't get to drink very many of their specialty beers (I really should make the 3 hour drive more often!), so I'm glad to get a bottle of Zes Zes Zes!

Thanks again to all who have sent bottles! I still have to pinch myself every time I come home and find boxes of beer on my porch - it's like living in a dream!! By my count that's 10 boxes so far, and the really hard part for me to believe is I'm still getting 9 more boxes! WOW! That's a lot of beer...I need to start drinking because I'm running out of space - this is a GOOD problem to have!!!!!

Another box arrived this morning! Thanks podunkparte! Berserker sounds phenomenal - Imperial Stout w/ maple syrup & molasses aged in bourbon barrels!!!! Never had it, so looking forward to trying it! Thanks for the extra too - a timely beer to enjoy this fall!

 

I don't think you'll be disappointed. Berserker is ridiculous. Congrats on the win. I still can't believe how fast that happened.

 

Thanks to sdhomebrewer!! This box arrived last week, I just have not had a chance to post the picture. I'm super excited about the Beatification! Never had this beer, and everything I read about it is just incredible! Some of my favorite sour beers have been from Russian River! Also, thanks a bunch for sending the extra! I love Alpine, so I'm glad to get the chance to try this Pumpkin porter - sounds incredible!!!

Thanks again to all the BAs who sent me boxes! I think this is 12 so far, and I'm meeting with a local BA tomorrow to get his ante! 13 received, still 6 MORE TO GO!!!!

 

Have the last 6 or so boxes been recieved?

 

I have several pictures to upload, but in short I have received and/or heard from almost everyone (it might even be everyone, but I don't have the list handy to confirm) at this point.

Due to the unexpected early ending of the contest, obviously there is wide shipping window, but I have been very impressed with the communication and timely delivery of the bottles from the pool! I have been keeping the shipping BA and Prufrock informed when each new box lands, I just haven't gotten around to posting the pics since I got really busy with school and work this fall and have had a lot less "BA time."

Thanks again to everyone who has sent a box! I will update with pics of the hauls shortly, but I am out of town for a few days, so I will try to do it the first part of next week.
