    Release News

Over the past two and a half years, you have seen Like Minds go through several different iterations. Whether it was a gypsy brewery in Green Bay, a forced move to Chicago, cans of beers that clouded the focus of what this brewery was supposed to be. The one consistency has been inconsistency. In spite of the various changes going on, there has always been one part of Like Minds that has stayed the course and that is the sour and wild barrel aging program.

I can finally say that the program has reached maturity and there will not be any other iterations or compromises. This has been my passion since I took over as Head Brewer in November of 2015 and I’m excited to begin to share these beers with you. We will be releasing small (~500 bottle runs or less) on Saturdays. The first of which will be released this Saturday August 26th at the brewery. We will be updating the calendar as the beers reach maturity.

    Details:
    - Limit 1 case per customer.
    - Our outdoor space and parking lot will be available for bottle share before and after open while weather permits or based on your tolerance for inclement weather.

    - Bourbon Barrel Aged Quad - 750ml - 15% ABV - A 12 month Bourbon Barrel Aged Brett Quad aged in Heaven Hill bourbon barrels. Fruity and bourbon aroma, oaky vanilla plum mid-palate with a dry, bright roasty finish. - 920 Bottles Available

When you say 1 case do you mean total or of each variety?

Each variety would be a case limit.

The Milwaukee address is correct. And Cherry Blueberry and the A. Nouveau will both be available Saturday.

    Thanks!

I've been a fan of your beers and very excited about this news. How many bottles per a case? I'd like to grab some but concerned that 80 guys could show up and grab everything.

Yeah. The only reason to do a 1 case per person limit is so that there's some hype around a fast sell out and then those people try to trade/sell and the Like Minds brand gets some cachet around the country.

And I'm not saying these are necessarily bad things but letting one person buy 12-24 bottles of a 500 bottle run seems weird to me.

If its a 12 bottles per a case and theres 6 different beers. Make 200 cases 2 bottles of each variety pack and 2 case limit for the variety case. I've got a bottle of the Blueberry Sour I purchased in spring i was taking to a bottle share tomorrow night. It was very good on tap and wanted to pop the bottle for a while. Also whats the pricing?

12 bottles per case. And fair enough. The case limit isn't set in stone, if we are seeing it abused we will address it on future releases. Honestly our ideal situation is that some bottles stick around awhile and allow us to showcase these beers over a longer period of time. We also want to make sure that people get a chance to check these beers out.

    Thanks for reaching out!

we do want to make sure that people are getting these beers who want to try them. I said it in another post, but I will say that we will address the bottle limit if we see this being abused or there is way more interest than we're anticipating.

The batches are limited, but we do have a program we're trying to get out there. We have enough beers to keep releasing beers every week for about 6 months. If the beers keep maturing and keep heading in the right direction, we could continue that and perhaps even expand the amount of bottles we can produce in the future.

I'll definitely keep close tabs on this and I appreciate the insight.

The pricing is going to be between $15-25 for all releases. We will likely have one or two that go a little lower than $15. The variety pack idea sounds awesome. If we have bottles leftover from a few of these releases that's a great idea. Reach out to me, if it works out I'll hook you up with one for the idea!

I came to this forum to ask BAers if they had any most-stop breweries in Milwaukee over the Labor Day weekend but it looks like you've already provided an answer.

Sounds like a great idea, good luck, and hope to be there in a couple weeks!

The pricing and dates were on Facebook. Might be easier to just go to Facebook if you have one.
