Better late then never, so I figured I would start this thread with some great news.New patio and parking in the back of the building. They own the whole building now
New taproom and more. The cat is out of the bag...You've likely hear some rumors about an expansion happening in the near future, so here we go, the details you all have been waiting for! We purchased the building and adjacent lot on Finance Drive last year, but didn’t get the plans for the parking lot and patio approved in time to start construction until this spring. The new patio and parking lot were just the first step of the expansion. We’re so excited to announce the next phase of the project...We are moving our taproom into the adjacent unit at 16 Currency Drive, previously occupied by a rental company until April of this year! The digital renderings give an idea as to what we have in store. The plans are currently under review by the City of Bloomington before construction can begin. This will also allow for the much needed expansion of our brewery area in our currently occupied unit. Please know, this is a major project so we are not setting a completion date at this time. Please be mindful of ongoing construction when visiting us in the near future. Once the build-out is complete, we will have a full kitchen to provide food to diners for Lunch and Dinner. Many considerations were taken into account with the limitations of the existing building, including a mezzanine area to serve as an observation deck to the brewery, a private video gaming area than one would typically encounter in many Illinois establishments, and a flexible "barrel room" for private parties that will seat up to 40 people. Seating capacity in general will also increase dramatically! We hope everyone is excited as we are! In all honesty, nothing we do would be possible without our amazing customers, friends, family and retail friends! Cheers to a great 4th of July weekend!
I've been there once, and an expansion is definitely warranted. It was packed inside, and they had like 2 picnic tables outside for people to sit on. They make really good beer, and they're getting really popular.
