Anyone heading to this tonight? Some pretty rare beers will be there. It's the kick off to the Square Roots Festival in Lincoln Square this weekend. Hopefully it doesn't rain.

It's also run by the same people that did Winter Brew at DANK haus earlier this year, which was a blast. They've screamed that it will SELL OUT(!!!) but I bet there are still tons of tickets available.

I personally try to not attend first year beer fests as they always seem to be a clusterfuck.

Then there is the fact that it is $20 for a glass and a single beer, after that you have the opportunity to buy more beer. The set up seems screwy at best. Most beer fests give you tasting tickets or unlimited pours. This seems like paying a cover to go to Map Room or something.

Not sure I'm going but the Red Eye did an article yesterday stating FFF would be there as well. Only stated they would have Al Dabayu (SP). I had it at the brew pub back in April and it was good but I'm not sure anything here is enough of a draw to rush to.
