With the past Side Projects that were turned into 12 oz releases later, I would not get too excited. Based on history, the likelihood it will taste the same is pretty low.

Hopefully this one breaks the trend and does not get priced like Wake and Bake.

Good to hear. I thought the original was pretty dang good, and I have some bottles of it still. The Peanut flavor is coming out more I think.

Agreed - WnB has always been $9.99 in Raleigh area, this year I saw it for $11.99-$13.50. Next year I will just buy more FBS at the $8.99 price tag and skip over WnB, which I really enjoy, just not worth the cost difference.

I'm sorry, I just can't bring myself to buy Terrapin. The Tenth & Blake 25% ownership, the fact that the few I've tried haven't been anything special, and because the beer names have all the stoner references (must be a Georgia thing), I just prefer to buy other brands that I want to support.

(Disclaimer - not a marijuana hater - but they're brewing beer as a business, not growing pot or rolling joints).

Love the sound of that. I still have one from the last release.

If it is a beer I truly like, it could be called "Fecal Matter and Piss Water", and I'd still drink it daily.

Maybe they do both? From my experience, a majority of the craft brewers partake in pot smoking fairly regularly.

That beer was a thin, watery mess. I wasn't surprised since Terrapin really hasn't done anything worthwhile to me since the Iron Tankard, but damn if I wasn't amazed that people bought it up like it was crack. I guess their name has established them well enough that they can produce shitty beer and move it easily. WCMH and CRWnB were god awful and they commanded Hopslam attention. I still don't understand it.

I bet you'd buy up all the Bourbon County variants you could find..

I don't give a shit about who owns who. Good beer is, good beer.

I'm about as straight edge as it comes aside from drinking alcohol, but I don't give a shit about the drug reference, even as a GA resident. I'm just not that uptight.

It commanded enough attention to make it a yearly release too!

I thought both were "okay". Good enough to share with traders.

Terrapin's main stuff is good, but not something I buy often. I like to try the side projects and enjoy their seasonals among most.

Terrapin Rye is an awesome beer. I think it does not always get the attention it deserves due to mistreatment in storage/transport but well maintained it is always one I get a draft of if available. Anything available that is uber hoppy from them I find not worth it. Anything with chocolate or coffee is worth the hunt though.
