Looking for recommendations of liquor stores in the Oakland area. Will only be in town for 2 days so I will only be able to check out a few.

When you coming? I'd suggest you hit up Beer Revolution, go to San Francisco and go to Healthy Spirits and City Beer. Monument in Concord isn't too far either.

Appreciate all the responses. Not sure how many I'll actually have time to check out. I'll actually be in Union City which is not too far from these places it seems.

I *highly* recommend Whole Foods in Oakland. Lafayette also has a Whole Foods, but I do not personally know how their selection compares to Oakland selection. I do know I took a trip to Oakland WF and I was very much impressed with their customer service.

Monument Wine and Spirits in Concord (they also own a store in Lafayette and Moraga - which are closer to Oakland)

City Beer in SF is cool if you have transportation, actually F it, take public transportation if you must and enjoy the city.

    Have fun.

    Go Raiders.

The owners of Monument Wine and Spirits also own a store in Lafayette and Moraga, both of which are closer to Oakland. I am not sure if they get the same selection though.
