List of recent threads

    Back on the old layout there was the list of the 20 most recent threads on the front page. Just wondering if this is ever coming back. I liked this because I had a bunch of topics to scan really quickly if I was just looking to killsome time on BA.

    I will say it seems to have reduced the "five beers on a deserted island" type threads which is nice, but I miss the "menu" of threads I used to be able to choose from.

    I'm obviously aware that the latest thread fir each forum category is listed, but seeing that I am only interested in 3-4 of the categories this was a nice concise easy to see what was going on.

    Because OP is "only interested in 3-4 of the categories." Your link shows threads from all boards which introduces a lot of noise due to irrelevant regional boards and special interest boards (e.g., cellaring/homebrewing/trading). If you're only interested in Beer Talk, Beer News/Releases, and your own region (my guess for the top 4 boards, but who knows?), over 50% of the topics on that page are irrelevant.

    Ahh, I was not aware of this. Will definitely help out. The narrowing of categories was nice, but this is a good compromise in the meantime. Thanks!

    You're stating the obvious. Regardless, the OP talks about the 20 on the old homepage AND alludes to what we had on the old forum page; sort of. The latter is no more. The link I provided was found to be helpful by the OP (who didn't know it existed), but it's all we have for now.
