I went to Little Creatures Geelong Last week great set up in a vast complex huge Dinning area both inside and out, I didn't do a tour but I will next time.

Do you think the Geelong brewed Pale ale is different to the original Freo Pale ale?

I have been to white rabbit many times and although beers are good they should have the little creatures range on tap and more one off beers.

I know they are owned by Lion now but I just think they should be doing more one beers etc

I also have been to the Little Creatures Geelong brewery recently and was impressed by the set-up. One of the bartenders told me that their one-off releases should be available on tap at the venue in the near future. Not sure if they are planning to up their schedule of one-off beers though...

I tweeted them and they said Freo will brew for WA and SA, and Geelong will brew for the rest of the country. Will be interesting to see how the beer tastes. I have a love/hate relationship with the Freo venue because the beer tastes different (not as good) out of the serving tanks than any pub or the bottled product. But the venue is something to behSomething about those serving tanks - taints the beer.

Be nice if White Rabbit served it as it's a nice drive for me. Geelong is too far.

Yeah, I think it is. I reckon it just doesn't have the oomph that the freo version has.

I had a couple of schooners of the pale ale last week for the first time in ages and was very disappointed with the taste. Seemed real lacking from how it used to be.

Hmmm - I thought it was tasting supreme at the moment. Get a fresh pintzilla with a use by date of at least Oct/Nov and see how it goes.

Yeah you don't want to leave it too late in the winter or early autumn to be drinking the pale ale as that will be the stuff that was bottled now and will be sitting on the shelves throughout winter - tbh it is probably getting towards the end of its good drinking.

why is that? I was under the impression it was continually brewed throughout the year...are you just saying that it will have lower turnover during winter?
