How many here like to review a beer while drinking and tasting it?

I always do. I never review hours/days later because I might remember stuff incorrectly and give a wrong review.

I do it for fun on certain threads, but I usually don't consider it a true review until I've lived with the beer for a while, had a few more, etc. It's just posted as an initial impression.

I certainly take notes and review while I am drinking it, but I wouldn't post anything until after it's finished as things change as it warms and your palate soaks things in for a bit.

I take notes in a little 3.5 x 5.5 Moleskine notebook and snap a picture while I am drinking the beer and then go back later, review my thoughts, type out the notes and enter them.

ALWAYS review it live, unless you're taking notes.

All reviews are live yes? I like to drink at least one whole beer, take notes and then write the review. doing a live tasting is just like it is in the live tasting threads or in NBS. You just start talking. =)

I actually like to take it out a couple of times. I have been burned many time by first impressions. You also need to visit the beers' parents (brewers) to get a good feel for what you're getting yourself into.

Yes.... live. Only great artists are remembered more after death.
Edit: Time for bed. Yes, review live. Adjust your rating after consequent tastings....oy.

I review live (Mostly). While I'm at Max's I will carry my Mobile Electronic Device and Jot down notes. Later log in here and get to work. At home though, I will review the brew live and late breaking (if I want or feel the need to review the beer). Some beers I don't review, I just want to sit back, relax and get hammered.

I try to review new beers as I drink them, but I do find my reviews are more accurate after I've had more than one to review. If it's a 22oz. or big bottle and I don't have any others I just try to get the initial notes at first, and continue to add on to it as it warms and I get towards the end. Drinking one 12oz. sometimes isn't enough to get everything out of it. I usually go back to my review when I'm having the beer again and see if I think it's accurate, and if I'm detecting a few different notes I'll add them to the review.

I write the majority of my reviews while enjoying the beer live and submit the review around when I finish the beer (with the exception of 64 oz. or larger containers, which is when I finish a glass).

Sometimes when I am out, I take my notes in a notebook and then type them into the site at a later point in time.

I always write my reviews as I am drinking the beer, from the beginning sip to the last drop!
