These are my feelings about the Pilz in cans. Should be here (Houston) in March. Alongside Austin Beerworks Pearl Snap and Real Ale Hans Pils during Texas Beer Month at Spec's? I'm going to be a happy nerd...

How do you like Karbach's new Pils?

Solid offering. Wasn't my preference for the style.

Excited to see love for well brewed lagers, pilsners especially. Wish the new/modern hop craze we're seeing in IPAs with things like Mosaic, Citra, Amarillo, etc. was reflected more in lagers. Really enjoyed New Belgium's Shift when we got it here in HOU. Hops and Grain Zoe is a great offering, as is Full Sail Cascade Pilsner (when/if you can find it).

...how could I forget the triumphant return of Saint Arnold's Icon Red unfiltered Czech Pilsner as 5 o'Clock Pils in cans!!!

Was, literally, sitting at my desk working on shelf talkers for Texas Beer Month and that realization came to me. So many tasty lager things in TX recently.

Yep, really looking forward to that one. Any idea when that will hit stores?

I don't see any reviews for that one. An unfiltered pils sounds pretty tasty. I will definitely buy.

It was the Icon Red, unfiltered & dry-hopped (?I believe?) Czech-style pils, a year or more back. Back by popular demand, and now in cans.

    I believe it's early April.

Unfiltered and dry-hopped. Original release was Nov. 2015.

Not to question you since you work at St. A, but it seems like it was much further back than last November? I feel like I had it in CS in early 2014, IIRC.

Pretty sure Aaron meant Nov 2013. Just a typo, it was added in 2013...

Yeah, thought it might be a typo, but I was wondering if I was just thinking of another beer I had. Sounds like that's what I had, though, and it was a spot on representation of the style. Glad to have it regularly. Now if we could only convince St. Arnold to brew the Biere de Saison again...

Ditto. And I'm glad you said this in this thread since the biere de saison is awinkro's beer

Just grabbed Pilz for the first time at the Kroger near me yesterday ( on Shepherd and 11th in Houston). This and Saint Arnold 5 O'Clock Pils are easily my favorite beers on the shelf right now. Regardless of style or brewery.

Having the 5 O'clock now...good beer. Doesn't look unfiltered to me, but whatever. Probably my favorite pils that's available to me at the moment. Is this year round now?

Any word on LO coming to DFW? I've been drinking Big Bend Hefe which is really good, but needs some work. I need that LO hefe in my life this summer.

I bought a 6-pack at Spec's on Walnut Hill a couple months ago. They had Pils as well if I remember correctly.

I believe they had some LO beers transferred to their store exclusively. Nobody else got any.

The time-frame makes me think it was for Specs' Texas Beer Month, but that's just conjecture
