Never really liked this fresh, but I just uncovered a stash of it at a local store. Anyone have any experience aging it? Is it possibly worth the 20 dollar tag for a 750?

I have one Lizard of Koz I’ve been sitting on since I purchased 2 bottles when the beer was released in November 2016. I drank one bottle fresh- it was very sweet. Almost cloyingly so. I’ve heard from a couple friends who have drank the beer with a year or so on it and I was told it’s improved greatly. I’ll probably crack into my remaining bottle within the next few weeks and see if it’s improved..

I’d say it’s worth purchasing one bottle..

    Peace...

I drank one just a couple of weeks ago and would agree with what MusicBeer has heard. It was still sweet but not nearly as aggressively sweet and you could taste some of the bourbon barrel. I didn't hate it fresh but certainly preferred it after a year of sitting. If you didn't like anything about it I'd say pass but if you found it a bit too sweet fresh than for sure try it again.

Edited to add I see you already purchased it. The blueberry is very strong even though it has diminished! Not a beer I'd drink a lot but I enjoyed the uniqueness of it.

Yep I did spring for it. It's definitely unique. Not for me I don't think, although I could certainly imagine some deserts that it might play nice with.
Does anyone know if all that's out there is the batch from 2016?

Interesting, I did think I saw it on tap around 2017 but wasn't sure if the bar was just breaking out a vintage keg (they regularly do, they have two 2017 beers and a 2015 on right now). That said, pretty dissapointed to realize that Founders apparently didn't date these ones
