Being in GR puts me in the epicenter of some phenomenal breweries, and in the neighborhood of others. I was at Gravity Taphouse a week or so ago which is about 5 minutes drive, and had access to taps from Founders, Bells, New Holland, Shorts, etc on top of some other great out-of-state breweries as well. Most of those locals I just listed are anywhere from a 10 minute drive to 3hrs. Got to try the Kunhnenn DRIPA there for the first time, which was so extremely solid. Spoiled? Probably. Blessed? Absolutely.

Crank from Cycle Brewing, I live in Orlando and its worth a fairly consistent treck to St. Pete to stock up on.

I was thinking the same thing as I was looking for anyone from MD to post to this. I agree, our MD locals need to step it up big time.

Union is making probably the most solid lineup of beer that can be easily found throughout the state, Fying Dogs recent Maibock and especially Counter Culture have been pleasant surprises out of them. Burley Oak, Milkhouse, Frey's, RAR, Manor Hill, Barley & Hops, Brewer's Alley and Monocacy have some solid beers. Still waiting for an easy to acquire "great" beer to come out of our state though.

No doubt. There are damn good breweries in Maryland, and damn good beers (obviously), but this state needs a Hardywood, Trillium, Tree House, or TG, STAT. Ah well, I can find the former easily in Northern Virginia, and their beers (even beyond all the GBS hoopla) trade pretty well, and one can always head to DC Brau when OTWOA is available...I just wish a Maryland beer not named Double Duckpin would trade well too is all :stuck_out_tongue:

    No-Li Wrecking Ball Stout.

The rest of their output is hit or miss to me, but this stuff is amazing.

Yellow Rose, now that I convinced another store to order some (only took once, sells out every time now). Hopefully they realize to listen to me now.

Abraxas from Perennial is a hard-to-beat Impy Stout from just down the street.

Treehouse, Trillium and even closer is Proclamation Ale. Only thing I've bought at a bottle shop recently is ice for my cooler after making a run to one of these places

I don't really have a "go-to" beer, but this would be my everyday choice if I could get it around here.
