Without a doubt, Beachwood. Their IPAs are as good as any I've had -- Pliny, Heady, Sip of sunshine, you name it.

There is a local brewpub that's only a 5 minute drive from my house called Martha's Exchange. Not all their beers are winners, but when they get it right and their tap lines are clean, man, there's nothing like it! In fact, I reviewed their Abbot's Habit Tripel last year. I'll take fresh local brew over bottled beer any day. Unless you count the growlers I bring home from Martha's. :grinning:

I'm running into a lot of tropicalia and cosmik debris on draught from Creature Comforts, and Orpheus's transmigration DIPA here in GA. No complaints from me.

4 Hands Resurrected IPA. When it went off the shelves last fall, none of the other IPAs could satisfy me. I've been having withdrawals since. Thankfully it was just released again today and is now year round. Woo Hoo!!!

Hey look, 150 replies from various states and a mere single reply from MI.

Jack of all trades...and master of none.

I am spoiled by Trillium Brewing, which I am lucky enough to drink on a weekly basis. I am now basically hooked on the "New England IPA" (via Trillium, Treehouse, Hill Farmstead, etc.) and have trouble drinking other hoppy beers. Also, need to give a shout-out for my local craft beer store, Craft Beer Cellar, as they provide me with more fresh, local beer than any other store around ever could.

Unless you live in Brooklyn or Astoria, I don't think you should feel too spoiled regarding your local beer if you live in New York. However, the Hudson valley area, NYC, and Long Island all get phenomenal distribution. From my travels and experience on BA I'd say it's at least top 3 in the country. The stuff that few other states gets here that are truly excellent include Westbrook, Cigar City, Trinity, Crooked Stave, Hill Farmstead (kegs), Carton (kegs), Jack's Abby. My friend takes the 40 minute drive or so to Other Half every 2-4 weeks for releases, so I'm pretty spoiled in that regard. Their IPA's are only a teensy notch below Trillium and Tree House IMO.

My fridge is running out of room, because I have so much PseudoSue. Thanks Iowa.

Yep it's been really difficult to try new beers when there's now cases and cases of PsuedoSue, Golden Nugget, X Hops White, Light Speed, and Watershed Wheat staring me in the face. Good job Toppling Goliath for toppling my desire to drink anything else besides your beer.

Did you start this to brag? Dick :grimacing::astonished:

To answer the question, Kane Head High I can get on tap whenever I want it and very few IPAs measure up.

I live 30 minutes from NEBCO and OEC. With traffic 2-3 hours. Local doesn't mean much in Fairfield Co. However I am 50 minutes from Brooklyn. So there is Threes, Sixpoint and Other Half.

Pliny, Consecration and Supplication. Not readily available per say, but I know when and where to get em', its only a few miles away. If I show up at a specific time on a specific day of the week, I walk away a happy camper.

Pizza Port Swami's and Kook. Pint cans about a week old if I stop at Bevmo on a Monday after the truck leaves. Cant beat Swami's for the money here.

Firestone Walker offerings. Super fresh all the time here. If I want a vintage or a sour from Barrelworks, its an hour away.
