The one by my work that I frequent keeps special releases in the back. The only way I know a specific beer is back there to request is from Twitter. If they are getting rid of Twitter posts, then they damn well better be putting everything on shelves.

We used to keep the "rarities" in the same locked glass case the $$$$ liquor was kept in.

That's fine, as long as it is displayed. The way things stand now, with no Twitter posts, I have no god damn clue what "rarities" they are selling.

Just ask what they got in, also for example: say your looking for a limited 4 hands release you know has been showing up around town, and you see they just put out new 6 pks by them odds are that limited release is also in. I guess if you don't know what your looking for this may affect you more. I love the no twitter thing though, say 3 Binnys are relatively close, 1 tweets. Now everyone is going to go to the same store, which sucks for everyone. Those people who frequent the store may strike out because people will go further distances to grab special releases.

Tweet the corporate Binny's account. If enough peeps overload them, perhaps they'll come up with a better system.

Suggestion to Binny's: fix your IT system and institute true real-time online inventory at all your stores, so customers can check for stock at store X, and purchase stuff to be held in the customer lock-up. Make sure it goes into inventory the minute it's scanned on the receiving dock- do you do that for beer, yet? And make the Hell sure this software works every time, all the time. This is 2015, not 1995. Customer first, remember?

I like them keeping limited stuff in the back, that way you can ask if it's in. If you don't know what is coming in, or only want something because it's a rarity and are uncertain about it, your doing this all wrong and there lies the problem.

Yeah let's just make everything more work for us and less work for them. I prefer not to spend my days at work researching what beer may or may not be released that day. I pass on the majority of beers tweeted by my local Binny's, I buy something because I want it, not because it is rare.

It really ought to be kept in a visible spot, in a locked glass case. The hiding shit in the back is stoopid and I always opposed it.

The entitlement people have about beer and life in general just blows my mind.

It really is insane. A brewery makes a small release and somehow you think in your mind that you are more worthy than anyone else to the point that you would berate someone from a store is crazy.

I don't know how I feel about this. I think the same people who have the ability to go to a Binny's at the drop of a hat are always going to be the same people who get the "rare" stuff. If 12 bottles of beer come in at 11am what are the odds that a person who can't get to their Binny's until 6:30pm was going to be within the first 12 people.

Twitter gave some of the beer employees a personal connection with their customers and answered questions without phone calls or driving over to Binny's just to ask. The Twitter thing is more bad than good.

I liked it for knowing what Pipeworks comes out each week. I guess i could just look at pipeworks website but it was nice to look on twitter and see (and see photos). Actually i used twitter for knowing all new beers (not just pipeworks) I honestly dont know how half of you know every single release each week.

Another one of my hobbies is shooting, this is buying ammo all over again. Same dudes waiting at walmart trying to buy it all up.

I agree. It was less for whales and more for just knowing when something was going to be out. Binnys isnt super close to me so it sucks having to gamble now on trips in.

It can't be a company wide policy -- some stores are still sending out tweets.

They are slowly shutting down. What stores are still active? Most stores get the same stuff.
