Here in the far NW Chicago burbs, I see that there seems to be little in the way of local craft watering holes selling brew from the now-numerous keg-only crafters that have recently opened. Few places on beermenus.com listed as carrying stuff from Tighthead, Small Town, Lake Bluff, Solemn Oath, etc. Yet places I would not call destination bars DO carry beers from the new little keggeries.

    What's up with that?

I'd say a confluence of competition, demand, and distribution...

When you can find a dive bar selling local craft, but a so-called "craft beer specialist" not selling ANY super local stuff.... I just gotta ask why.
