Well the ingredients are easy to get. I have a bunch of yeast packets at home from a brew store that I use, and I already have the fermentation buckets. All I need to start a new batch is one trip to the supermarket for honey, a jug of water, and whatever flavoring I want to add. You can make about a gallon for under $15.

Its also much easier than beer to make. No boiling or hop schedules or timing is involved. Just mix everything in a bucket at room temperature after sanitizing and you are good to go.
