Hmm, based on mortality tables and that hundred miles from here restriction I could have multiple different amazing beers every day for the rest of my life without repeating.

I don't have a single beer in mind, but there is always something good on tap at AleSmith and Modern Times in San Diego. Both of those are within 20 miles from home

I live in a small industrial town called Colton in Commiefornia. There's only one brewery in town that's about 3 miles from my home. Their beers vary from average to good but there is one that they release semi-regularly that blows my socks off.

Their golden stout. 3 Iron's Grand Slam golden stout. Hot damn that thing is delicious. I get growler fills of it whenever I can. Reminds me of a Noble's Naughty Sauce back in the golden days. Shame they haven't done a nitro version (as far as I know) and I hope they do it sometime soon.

If we're going a bit farther, then Sour Cellars is a definite monthly visit from me and the wife, their sours are top notch stuff.

    Pizza Boy right now.

I've only had 2 beers from New Trail (Double IPA w/Galaxy hops and a coffee Baltic Porter), but they were phenomenal. Think they may possibly take over as my favorite "local" brewery.

Similar problem here. There are dozens of breweries within 100 miles. I hope to get to a few of them soon. Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, Ann Arbor, Detroit; all within 100 miles.

This is my biggest gripe as well. Especially the explosion I'm seeing in store shelves from local options. If there was a fresh single can/bottle section of local beers, then giddy up, I'm sampling a mixed sixer every week from all of these local breweries with several options from each. Most shops don't offer single cans/bottles from the locals (fresh either) and I pretty much walk pass them for a more well known, reliable and cheaper brewer to buy from the store.

To be exact, here is a lineup of 5 I could rotate between that are within 100 miles of me. There are more, but here goes

    Jade IPA - Foothills
    Stout One - Four Saints
Collaboration without Representation - Deep River
    Seeing Double IPA - Foothills
    Battlefield Bock - Red Oak

Exactly. If they sell singles I can about guarantee they’re older stock, and I’d never buy at Total Wine. Another strike is a high percentage are not available on tap so you can’t even check them out in flights. There’s local options that are tap only so I’d have to commit to hitting the brewery that’s 35 miles away, I guess I could but I rarely drink and drive. Maybe one beer, rarely two.

Still trying to figure out when goods were truly local...the spice trade between Asia and Europe was established before the modern Christian era. But, I'll play...

Kolsch 151, Dark Hollow, and Full Nelson from Blue Mountain
    Bask from Basic City
    Richmond Lager from Hardywood
    Sinistral Wheat from Seven Arrows
    Appalachian Divide from Stable Craft

And I'm just scratching the surface, tons of breweries within 100 miles from here.

The largest brewery within 100 miles of me is Boulevard.

Apart from that, there are plenty of smaller local ones, such as KC Bier Co., Martin City Brewing, Strange Days Brewing, Crane, and a few more.

I think I have just about every style of beer covered except for IPAs :slight_frown:

But I could make it work.

Edit: Because I didn't fully answer the OP's question.

My daily drinking from the aforementioned breweries would consist of stuff like:

Bully Wheat / really anything from Boulevard, Tank 7 especially
KC Bier Co. Dunkel / Hefeweizen / all of their beers are delicious so anything would work
Martin City Blonde and Hardway IPA, plus they make some other solid Belgian style beers etc.
Strange Days for any of their brews. The Greenwich Line is my favorite but their Episodes IPAs are all great.

I could definitely live with that.

Sierra Nevada is the obvious choice for me (88 miles away).

Knee Deep and Moonraker is about 25 miles out.

Knee Deep is one my list but just barely. And pretty much solely due to fresh 6ers of Lupulin River... which are becoming harder to find and approaching endangered status.

100 miles is pretty generous for 'local'. I live in the suburbs of NYC and there must be scores of breweries within 100 miles, so you wouldn't be blamed for thinking that I must have a vast array of 'local' beers easily accessible to me. But you'd be wrong. Many of those breweries are in the 50-100 mile range rather than 0-50. And most of those that are in the closer category, if they even package, only sell their beer on site or distribute to a small footprint not close to me. Of those, currently only 2-3 are <10 miles from where I live (though a few more are on the verge of opening). Only one would I describe as solid or above. If I didn't work in NYC my modest 'Gots' list of 'local' beers would be significantly shorter. And the ones I've purchased have all been pricy. I live in the land of $18-$24 4-packs.

I see them occasionally...but now that you mention it I haven't seen a really fresh 6'er of LR in a while. My Costco still has the best deal on Breaking Bud 4packs...so I usually grab those instead.
