Only had two and think i have spanned the whole terrible to great spectrum!
Had Gilgamesh Radler in cans and thought it was just great.. then much to my sorrow i had tonight HUBs Totally Radler and its gross..like Mikes Hard Lemonade without the extra couple of percent alc volume.
Any other local OR/WA radlers available in cans?
And NO ones made with American style Lemonade like HUB..just sickening sweert

Radler/shandy/panache is one of those things I think is best made at home.

2 oz. lemon juice (fresh squeezed), 2 oz. simple syrup (equal parts water and sugar by weight, by volume is fine) 6 oz. water (cold, sparkling water works better), combine in an Nonic glass. Add 12 oz. beer of your choice, HUBs Lager works nicely, SN Summerfest or another crisp light ale or lager. You can alter the proportions (0.85 citrus:1 beer in the recipe I gave) depending on personal preference and the beer that you're using.

Thats the basic formula but you can augment it as you see fit. Herbs, other citrus like grapefruit work nicely. Maybe a bit more work than you have in mind but I think tasting the outcome justifies the work.

Dry, crisp, refreshing and low alcohol.

Most of the canned radlers have been way too sweet for me, the HUB Radler tasted like Country Time powdered lemonade mixed with bubbly water. The Backwoods Super Radler is alright, you can actually taste some beer, but overall it is still too sweet. Airways is supposed to be making a radler, but I haven't checked in on that in a while now. I like the idea above of making one yourself. Though if I want a citrusy, bubbly drink, sign me up for a gin and/or vodka tonic!

Not really a Radler, but Rev Nat's Tepache with a light lager is delicious (as is straight Tepache). With so many premixed rafters being too sweet, mixing your own is the way to go, and you can choose whether or not your soda/juice has artificial sweetener.

Tepache with saison is also stellar.

To each their own, but the staff split a 6pk six ways on the day it arrived, and everyone thought it was horrible. The best reveiw I heard was, "This tastes like fermented dirt and grass clippings with a squeeze of grapefruit juice."

We've been trying all sorts of blends since we have a keg of Tepache on tap right now. Some of the better blends we've come up with:

2:1 Tepache and Fathead's smoked helles - tastes like grilled pineapple
1:1 Tepache and La Terrior - Tart, funky, and delicious
1:2 Tepache and Pliny - extra "juicy fruity" IIPA
1:2 Tepache and De La Senne Smeirlap! - bone dry tropical Belgian IPA
1:1 Tepache and Cucumber Crush - tastes like some sort of delicious candy, and would be awesome with a shot of bourbon

My version of a Radler. Pour Kellerweis into pint glass. Note level. Take two big drinks. Pour grapefruit juice to the level you noted previously. Enjoy!!!!

Looks like Fremont will be bringing one to the WA brewers festival at Marymoore next weekend.

Fremont played around with some Shandys last summer in the UBG.
