Local source for food grade CaCl?

    I know I could order some online, but I'd rather not. (i.e. impatient...) My LHBS just stocks gypsum. Any luck finding it at a GNC or similar national chain? I've started checking around at local hippy supermarkets, but without success thus far. Thanks for any suggestions!

    CaCl will last forever if properly packaged, if your LHBS doesn't carry it, order some online (by the #) and be done with it. Cheers

    You can usually find it in the canning section of a grocery store.

    Yeah, look for Ball "Pickle Crisp", that's just calcium chloride although they sell it for a lot more than a homebrew shop.
