It has been a while I think, so I thought I would throw one out there. Since the Wants/Gots function works, but can be hard to get to, let's just make it simple. Want to do this quick so we can get it in before Easter. Rules... *No beer below a 3.8 or 89. No crap beer just because it is local. There is a reason for this. Ask me if you have questions *One growler and one glass from the same brewery. Pint glasses are fine *88oz of other locals minimum, more if you want. Locals are beers brewed within a couple of hours of your place or made in your state. If you have a question on distribution, go to seekabrew.com. Great site *Shipping deadline is April 2nd. If you cannot ship by this date, please do not play. I would like to have all the boxes land by Friday of that week, Easter Weekend *Registration ends at noon on Sunday *No need to go nuts. If you can hit wants, cool. If not, just send great beer. *Targets out by Monday the 12th I know this is quick. If you have not BIFed before, let me know. Please Message me or post in the thread. I would like to take up to 20 - 25 Cheers!
I like the sound of this, count me in! I already have the growler choice in mind... Edit: For the 89+ rule, what do we do for beers that have too few reviews to have the out-of-100 rating? Second Edit: Oh, just saw the 3.8+ requirement, that works. If there are only a few reviews, though, would some flexibility in that minimum be allowed, since it could easily be underrated? Just curious; I totally understand if you want to keep the rules strict.
After being asked and looking at a few things, lets update some of the rules regarding the beers to send. I realize that some local beers my not have enough reviews to count, or any, that is fine, it is a locals BIF. Also, there may be a few reviews and that may give it a lower rating. if you need to go lower, use your good judgement. Let's not send crap just 'cause its local . If there are any objections, let me know. There are a few who responded via message. I think we all know what passes for good and bad.
Cool, sounds good. I don't plan to go below 89/3.8, but when I was poking around the ratings for a few local brewpubs there were a number of beers with 2-3 reviews, and it raised the question in my mind.
Looks like we got 10 so far. If you have notbsent your address, please do. I will take a few more as well Thanks?
