Before I float an absurd offer I'd like some price input on local prices for 4/6 packs/cases of beer from the following breweries...(If I care what bottles, I've posted it next to it). In all cases, my assumption is these are available, off the shelf, year round or close to it, 12 oz format, and widely available w/in the distro networks of the respective breweries. If I am wrong, please correct me. Cheers! CCB - Jai Alai and Jose Marti Great Lakes - Blackout and Ed Fitz Bells - TwoHearted, Porter, Oatmeal Stout Deschutes (just the 12 oz bottles) Sweetwater Terrapin Duck Rabbit New Belgium - 1554 FFF (just the 12oz) Surly (I know they're four packs and cans) Also, any info on awesome local 12 pack deals would be key info. (For example, in NH you can find 12 packs of Smuttynose for $11.99 at supermarkets when they're on sale.) Anyway, if you're bored and feel like dropping some $4$ knowledge in the thread - please have at it. Please just include what you're pricing and what state you're in.
In Florida 30 miles from the brewery. CCB Jai Alai is 10.49-11.50 per six pack available year round. CCB Jose Marti is 9.99-10.99 per four pack and is released in April, August, and December. It sits on shelves for a month or two, but is not available year round. Jim
At the brewery, all of Three Floyds' 12 oz. beers are $10 for a six pack or $35 for a case. In other stores, a buck or two more per sixer.
New Belgium sixers are usually in the $8-$10 range. I will echo the above statement for Deschutes being $9-$11. This is in the Colorado Springs area.
In North Carolina. Duck Rabbit: I've only ever seen 12oz bottles. 6'ers range from ~$8 (milk stout, porter) to $13 (Rabid Duck, maybe Barleywine). If you just say that you're looking to go $4$, the trading partner should be willing to fill you in on how close you are. If one of you is far off, then just have that person toss in another additional bottle or two. No biggie.
