Gonna be stuck in Lodi for a few hours this weekend. Is Lodi Beer Company worth a stop? I would like to grab some beer to go but it doesn't look like they sell bottles. Is there anything on tap right now that warrants buying an $18 growler? Is there anything worth making the extra time to sit down and enjoy at the bar?

I spent a good part of 3 years in Lodi (girlfriend). I have to say they make some pretty decent beers...and the IPA they make is good enough to fill a growler.

You can always make the drive to Valley Brew in Stockton, but I hear its gone downhill fast since Steve left.

EDIT: It has been quite some time since I've been to Lodi Beer Co, so I can't say how they are holding up recently.

It's worth the stop. The beers are pretty decent and the service is usually good. I don't know about the growler though. $18 is kinda steep.

I tried a couple of their beers, they were okay. Just stop in and get a flight and see if there's anything you like.

A friend brought a growler home from them a few months back. Pretty good beer, nothing special. I'd certainly check it out though.

Lodi - They have an eisbock, a sour cherry, and a doppelbock that are defnitely worth it.

Eisbock is definitely the most worth it. That and the deep-fried mac and cheese nuggets.
