First off, let me just say I love this site and I think it is the preeminent source of beer ratings and information. That said, I have a couple suggestions for the beer database.

    1) Ability to mark a beer "Had" without having to give it an actual score
Sometimes I have a beer for the first time but I'm concerned it might not be fresh or there might be something off--or who knows, maybe it's just my palate failing me at that given time. Rather than give the beer a poor score, I would prefer to mark it "n/a" or "no rating" to designate I've had it (for future reference) but wait to rate it until I have it again. There are plenty of other reasons to use this feature, but that's the one that comes up most often for me.
Bonus points if there were a "notes" field next to 'Hads' where we could put a very brief explanation or description.

    2) Ability to add a new beer without writing a full review
I know some may cringe at this idea but I feel it would help the beer database stay more current if we could do this. I currently have a backlog of probably around 20 beers I've had that aren't in the system. To add them, I have to write a full review for each one but I really don't like writing them. It's partly a time thing, but I also just don't have a very refined palate and my reviews all sound the same as a result. At least if I could add the new beers to the database it would be up-to-date. And who knows, someone else might then come across it and write a full review now that all the work of entering it in as new is done for them.

Cheers and keep up the great work!
