    Some Helpful Tips:
-Not sure what beer to order? Ask for a taste or two.
-No tipping if you order drinks/food at the bar. 10-15% is customary for table service.
-Pints are 20 ounces, which can be a lot for a non-session beer. Ordering half pints is common and some pubs only list the half pint price.
-Let the bartender know if someone else is before you. Jumping the queue is strongly frowned upon.

Still have questions? Post them here!

I was just going to try this myself.
I can't recall--has anybody asked The Bros to take a look at this post and see if it worthy of a sticky?
Otherwise, may just periodically 'comment' on it.

Sitting in Cask Pub & Kitchen right now and just found this. Would have made all the leg work I did a lot easier. Thanks for this and I will use it for the rest of my 5 day work trip! Had a Dark Star Red Shift, Wild Beer Co Redwood, and currently enjoying a Kernel Citra IPA.

Kernel Citra IPA and Wild Beer Redwood were excellent! Red shit was good but not on par with the others.

I dunno if this is appropriate to add but Brew By Numbers is now open 11AM-6PM on Saturdays. It's around the corner from Kernel.

Yeah, great work summarising and condensing all the countless "I'm visiting London, where should I go?" threads, Deeblo!

Some suggestions: Tap East deserves a mention, as does Holborn Whippet (if nothing else for the central location). For pubs in touristy places, maybe the other Brodie's pub The Crosse Keys near Covent Garden deserves a mention even though their Brodie's selection is almost never as good as The Old Coffee House.

Well, the Greenwich Union, Meantime's pub is worth a visit if you're over that way. I'm embarrassed to admit that on my last visit to London I drank little in the way of London beer, due to my aversion to London Pride. You should definitely drink your fill of Fuller's though, because they brew a boatload of great stuff and are clearly one of the UK's best breweries, even if I don't like their flagship!

    Should you though ?

I wouldn't discourage overseas visitors from drinking a few pints of Fullers offerings but 'boatload' is maybe a tad overkill when there's so much else available in London these days!

Yes and No - I believe Deeblo was trying to keep the list as 'to the point' as much as possible.

Tap East and Holborn whippet are fine venues in their own right but if you were an out of town visitor looking for maybe 5 great venues I don't think they'd be up there and Tap East isn't going to figure in any general tourist plans being out in Stratford.

As for the Cross keys - a big no. Nowhere near consistent enough, last time I went there they had one Brodies beer and one guest. Simply not worth listing.

The recommendations list needs to maintain quality over quantity.

Fullers are solid if you want to sample good examples of classic English styles with little US influence (as far as I'm aware). Go to one of their better pubs and you'll probably be able to taste the Pride, Porter or Stout, IPA, plus their always disappointing seasonals (usually some sort of mediocre golden ale). Not worth a mention here though, any US beer tourist will probably have had some of them before, plus they're really easy to find.

What else would a US beer tourist want to drink in London? IPAs full of C-hops? Imperial stout? What's the point when every American brewery makes them?

Fuller's are the last traditional brewery in London, so they really ought to be top of any tourist's list.
