Oh thanks, don't hesitate to give advices about something you never do because you was too exhausted. :grinning:
In the left bank of Paris, there is 4 shops (Bierocratie, Brewberry, Bootlegger, Chop In) and and at least 2 bars (L'Express de Lyon and Brewberry and 2 news in the next months, one near Odeon and Montparnasse.
This is not about left or right banks but some distrikts, inverstors think they did not have enough catchment.

Looking for a good place to eat on a Monday evening in Brussels. My trip is in April and I arrive around 7pm at the Brussels-Midi station.

I know that Brussels is pretty walkable (I have a big itinerary set for Tuesday based on everyone's recommendations), but lets assume I am tired from my day in Paris and train travel.

Can someone recommend a good place to eat (beer does not have to be the primary consideration) within a 10 to 15 minute walk from the Hilton Garden Inn @ Rue Berckmans 128.

    Thanks

Has to be Nüetnigenough. Food is stellar, cozy atmosphere, a couple nice Belgian beers on draft and a nice bottle list. LPF has been on the bottle list every time I've been there.

In my opinion skip Delirium, must of the time it is filled with drunk, annoying tourists. Moeder lambic in Saint Gilles is nice but a bit expensive.

Check out 'Vossenplein' in Brussels if you like thrifting, huge outdoor market and sometimes you can pick up cool old beer related items for cheap. Some nice local cafes in that area aswell. Nearby there is an elevator that takes you up to 'Poelaertplein' that has a gorgeous view over the lower city.

Great thread here. I just booked a flight into London with a flight home from Paris in September. Couple questions if it's okay to jump in on this thread.

London - it will be my first time and I was thinking about spending 5 nights there. Any suggestions on what area to stay? I plan on doing some sightseeing like Churchill War Rooms, British Museum, Imperial War Museum, trip to Fuller's/Chiswick area, visit Greenwich area. I'm taking the Eurostar to Brussels and was looking at Crestfield hotel near St.Pancras. unless there are other suggestions for places or areas?

Brussels - this will be my third time there and am planning on spending most of my time around Brussels/Pajottenland drinking lambic. I was considering staying somewhere like Aalst or even at DHVL, but without a car, would seem like a hassle so I I'm thinking just stick to Brussels for the better transportation options. Easyhotel seem like a good choice?

Paris - I'll most likely only spend the last 2 nights there. I'm thinking about ouibus over the train. It's hard to beat a 4 or so hour trip for 13 euros. Since it arrives at Paris Bercy and I'd be leaving from CDG just after noon about 48 hours later, where would it be good to look for a place?

I'm traveling solo as far as I know, so I don't need anything fancy in any of these places. While it is far away, I will be bringing beers with me, so keep that in mind if anyone wants to meet up. Thanks in advance!

For Brussels, rest in Brussels near Fontainas or St Gilles, except if you want to stay alone all the nights because you are in the middle of nowhere lol

Same for Paris, book a room or rbnb near subway Pere Lachaise (close of Fine Mousse, Trois 8 and Outland Bar), except if you want to stay in your room.

Thanks. There are a few airbnb options with great reviews on the St Gilles side of Midi. Would that seem alright or should I look further into St Gilles near a tram stop?

Which airport are you flying back from? Gatwick and Heathrow have some half decent pubs serving Fuller's and Dark Star.

In and out of Heathrow. Final night in the UK will be at a hotel near the airport.

I'd like to thank everyone who contributed to this thread. First day back at work for me after ten days in Europe. The Brussels part of my trip was great. The highlights have to be Cantillon and Nuetnigenough.

The rabbit fricassee at Nuetnigenough was unbelievable (cooked in Gueuze if I remember correctly). I arrived late, still had to wait 45 minutes at the bar and then stayed until closing.

Cantillon - could have stayed all day but had to say goodbye to all my new found friends after three hours. The best bottle share I've ever been to.

Appreciate the info on Paris as I'll be there for three days in June before heading to Koeln. Looking forward to exploring the Paris beer scene in between the required tourist activities!
