    Hi guys!

I´m planning a quick beer trip to London city. My intentions are doing a PubCrawl on Friday (October 12th) around Hackney Area (The **** Tavern, The Experiment, Deviant & Dandy, St. John, Redchurch...) and Bermondsey on Saturday (October 13th).

I´m travelling alone so, if anyone wants to share a couple of cans at The Experiment or a couple of beers anywhere in the city that weekend, just let me know.

It will be my first time in Bermondsey, so any recommendation will be very welcome.

    Cheers!

Adding on here...I'll be in London this Sunday and looking to explore Bermondsey for the afternoon. What are the 3-4 must visit breweries/shops in your opinion? Thanks in advance. Cheers!

I am in London next weekend so will let you know if I see any good places. Thought about any Samuel Smith pubs?

What kind of beers do you like, @Taboada? I did the Beer Mile on Sun. Sept. 16 and happy to offer any suggestions. You might find a few more places open on a Saturday than I did that Sunday, but I still had lots to choose from.

    Hi @Piels25

I like almost every style, except extremely spiced, herbal, honey or pumpkin beers.
Anyway, as I´m travelling alone, I want to priorize places with flights (or at least 1/3 pints) available and low ABV beers (3% - 7% range).
Cheers and thank you for your help

While you're South of the river, you really should visit The Royal Oak on Tabard Street. It's a Harvey's tied house and sells their full range, including their Dark Mild. Like travelling back in time to the 1970s. In a good way.

I was there on a Sunday, so there were fewer places to choose from, but given that description I'd say you want to try some/all of the following:

    Southwark Brewing
The London Beer Factory/The Barrel Project
    The Bottle Shop
Brew By Numbers (BBNo) - had some of my favorite beers, but no flights and a limited selection of 1/3 or 1/2 pours available.

All four of those are within ~1000m of one another. I found this site to be incredibly helpful: http://www.bermondsey-beer-mile.co.uk/

As the site suggests, do yourself a favor and hit the Maltby St. Market and get some food in your belly before sampling beers. I had The Cheese Truck, but there are 25+ food vendors to choose from, all sorts of good food. Cheers!

I'd put Partizan and Brew By Numbers at the top of my Beer Mile hitlist. Moor Vaults and the Bottle Shop would be on there too, although obviously they're less of a thing if you want to be actually in the same room as the kit the beer was brewed in. The Kernel are, for my money, the other really first-rate Bermondsey brewery, but they only do takeaway bottles from the brewery (and request that people don't piss off their neighbours and endanger their license by drinking in the streets around the brewery...)

Also, Ron's right about the Royal Oak if you want to see old-style London beer as well as new-style. In that area you can also get to the Rake, which was one of the first new-wave beer bars in the UK and is still fairly great.
