I'm starting to wonder if they have some consistancy issues, every time I've tried it whether it be draft or bottle I have gotten almost 0 malt. maybe there is variation because this is very far from a malty beer in my experience.

Tried it yesterday, picked up a 6 at Julios. I thought it was very solid, very similar hop profile to Hoponius Union and Mass Rising. Very nice IPA all around.

Heady is in a class by its own because of the depth of flavor. The rest of the beers you mentioned are just very good beers , just like limbo. I prefer limbo to sucks, gandhi is in the same neighborhood and I haven't had the chance to try DirtWolf yet.

I'm kinda baffled myself...I got a six in NJ and this stuff taste like booze or medicine?? How anyone could compare it to dirtwolf or sucks is mind numbing...I like to think this was mishandled and my beers are a fluke

I had one great six pack and one that tasted medicinal. That great one will get me to try again. Even the great one can't touch Dirt Wolf.

Grabbed a sixer today and finished it today. It was pretty good. Definitely not a Double Sunshine, Pliny, HT, etc., but it gets the job done. I may grab this again, but I doubt it.

Echoing the draft/bottle inconsistencies - to me it was different beer on draft than in bottle. I had on draft at Castlerock Pub at Sugarbush and thought it was great. I tried in a bottle dated 12/07 and it didn't even compare to the beer I had on draft.

I picked up a 6 pack of this yesterday, forgetting just how much it costs. Ouch. $11.99. I could have gotten a Sam Adams 12 pack for that price, minus tax and deposit.

It's a good beer but shouldn't have killed a whole 6 pack. Been regretting that all day.

Stopped by Julio's and they got dumped on at least 4 cases sitting in aisle

I had the beer about 3-4days after it was bottled and it was fantastic. Had it on draft a couple days after that and it was a different beer, still good but different

Had three 6pks over the past week, shared, all from different locations. Priced from $9-$12. Obvisouly I really liked this beer or I wouldn't have purchased it three times. Not sure where anyone would call this a malty beer. As for comparing it to Sucks, I'll take the Limbo. Actually also bought a 6 of Sucks, after picking up the last Limbo at a store, I preferred the Limbo.

There has to be some inconsistencies is the only thing I can figure. I would never describe this beer as the least bit malty, yet many others here are getting that. Next time I see a fresh 6 I'll report back

I'd like to have a Dirt/Sucks/Limbo throwdown but none of any is available in Southern NH, which is pretty sad considering Dirt and Limbo are supposed to be year-round offerings. Wah wah.

Just got out of work from saving lives in the ER. Drinking a Limbo right now with breakfast. This stuff goes great with a nice spicy bacon and cheese omelet.

I had Limbo and Dirt Wolf side-by-side last night. Both good, and I'd recommend either to someone. Preferred Dirt Wolf if pushed to choose.

Dont know why people compare it to DIPA's like Dirtwolf when its an IPA. Compare IPA's to IPA's and DIPA's to DIPA's. Thats a lot more fair IMO. In that case I would compare it to SN Celebration and it compares favorably.

Possibly because the lines are so blurred between the two styles? I think most would agree that Limbo is indeed more similar to Dirt Wolf than Celebration due to the use of similar hops, low bitterness and high aromatics.

My buddy was up at the brewery last week and grabbed a case for us to split. Bottled 12/24. It was pretty good, but those Aussy hops really dominated the flavor. The closest thing I can think of as a comparison would be JA Kiwi Rising.

That's not fair to Kiwi Rising.
