Saw it today but passed because I just cant get into a kolsch when its cold, snowy, and wet outside. Soon enough though.

Agreed. If it were 80 degrees, different story.

You did the right thing. I tried a small glass at the brewery a couple weeks ago and I thought this beer was a trainwreck. Didn't taste anywhere near any kolsch I've had from the Cologne area. Tasted like bad homebrew and a poor attempt to cover up a bad fermentation with flavorings.

The pepper is what makes it stand out from SA Escape Route. Im no kolsch expert so I never had pepper in a kolsch before. Weird but pretty good.

I really enjoyed it. I didn't catch that pepper much, which is fine.

I think some people arent gonna like the pepper. On a hot day its gonna make it less refreshing I feel. Im the opposite because I caught the pepper more than the lemon.

I thought it smelled like cat piss. SA escape route was a much better take on a Kolsch, and that was an average beer imo. Not my cup of tea I guess.

Well theres not a lot of easy to find kolsch options out there so at least they tried. It certainly doesnt taste like Harpoon Summer which is another kolsch.
