I know there are Consumers Beverage stores all over but their website doesn't really indicate what they have or can get and the development of the website in that regard seems to have been in a holding pattern for a while. I'd really like to be able to know what I can expect to be able to get before going.. Having a heck of a time trying to really find out online who actually sells these..

Consumers is really going to be hit or (very) miss...you can go over to Community Beer Works or Flying Bison probably for one but you're gonna need your own tap.

If it is in their computer system, you can most likely order a keg of it. It might be pricey and take a week or so to come in, but you can get one.

Gents, it just so happens that I can help. I'm the Art/Media director for Consumer's Beverages and handle customer requests via our website. Keg requests are our most often asked question..."What's available?" We have been working on a way to provide an accurate on-line list of what is currently available in sixtels, something we hope to release in 2013. The majority of US craft breweries we carry put their beer in half kegs...sixtels not so much except for roughly a few things.. 1. It's an Imperial/Double. 2. The brewery is local(ish). 3. It's seasonal. Our inventories are also at the mercy of our distributors...meaning to say..when we receive a request, we also have to go ask if it's available. As much as we would like to have any beer available at any time for anyone...we simply cannot. Freshness is a key factor in keeping items on hand that in simple truth...sell far less than the bottled/canned versions. To conclude, what we are envisioning is a request based system using a drop-down listing of breweries and their respective portfolios. You would receive an email back whether the beer is available and the time in which we expect it to arrive at the store once the item is paid for. On a simpler note, you can always call an ask to speak to a manager about keg availability and they'll be happy to get your request in and give you call back if they dont have an immediate answer. Cheers and have a great new year!

Fourem, that is a significant help, and I look forward to the online resources.. I come from Ontario for a homemade kegerator at home and then declare them at the border on my way home.. still cheaper and more unique than most of what my local bureaucracy lets us buy locally. Obviously a bit of a drive to randomly just pop in and hope something I would want is in stock..

This seemed like good help, but I've sent several requests online asking about keg availability, order information, stock on-hand, etc, but none are ever answered, hence me seeking out an alternate in the beginning. I suppose I could call each store individually?
