I'm going to be vacationing in Seattle May 27-29 and Portland May 29-June 2. I want to bring as much beer back to NYC as possible that I can't get here easily. Would there be anyone kind enough in either Seattle or Portland to donate a 12 bottle styro shipper with it's box? I'll be checking it in at the airport.

I can donate a shipper for you, but the problem is how to get it to you. I'll be flying back to PDX on 5/29 myself, so I'll be around. However, as you can probably understand, I'm not real keen on going out of my way, just so I can provide you with a free shipping box. So we'd need to meet up someplace that is VERY convenient for me to get to.

If you and John can't connect, google some wine shops near where you're staying and call them up. It's been my experience that many places are glad to be rid of the shippers after they've received the wine.

Portland Wine Storage. Call them and ask to buy their used styro shippers. Bring a knife or marker to cut out/black out any previous mailing labels.

Bevmo sells them. ~9.99 IIRC. I have made the stop for one at the Tukwila location on the way to the airport a number of times.
