I’m looking for a good and easy recipe for a double IPA. I am a novice and have brewed four beers in the past. Any good ideas would be helpful.

    Thanks,

I haven't tried it, but one that is on my list is "The Plinian Legacy" from Northern Brewer. It is an extract kit so should be easy, it does call for two rounds of dry hop, not sure how they recommend doing that. The reviews sure sound good!. I would be interested if anyone had any input on that one.

I'm a novice as well and I do extract combined with partial/mini-mash (basically steeping the grains I use for an hour at a specified temp then rinse with water of the same temp). I use Vinnie's Pliny's extract recipe as my go to base for most of the IPA's that I've done and it's worked well. Just work out the hops you want to use and how much and you'll be all set.

This link is from the AHA free downloads page and includes the recipe straight from the source himself. As I said, I use the grain bill as my springboard then tackle the hop schedule on my own. Be sure to read the article too!!
