My favorite with a nice, thick body, has also been New Holland Night Tripper.

I've never tried it, but it sounds like (from the name) Sixpoint Diesel should be nice and thick.

Edit: From reading the Diesel reviews, looks like most people are saying medium bodied.

I think you are mistaking my opposition to this being a "thick" stout with an opposition to this beer as a whole. Old Rasputin is a great beer but does not have the viscosity to compare to others mentioned. Rating has nothing to do with my statement.

thats your opinion on viscosity which i respect but let the OP try it without bias from you he asked for suggestions not personal dislikes

Aren't we providing the OP a bias, albeit positive, by providing him suggestions? I provided a fair critique and did not say anything negative about the beer. Threads like this are for opinions, that was simply my opinion.

Old Viscosity is freaking tasty...can't beat the price either.

Green Flash Double Stout. Great stout, great price, underrated beer here. Grab a 4-pack, thank me later.

Do you drink your ten fidys out of the can though?

Edit: to answer op though, I think I'd like dark lord. Never had it though.

I feel like drinking from the can would dampen the aroma?

Kind of. I haven't drank a beer straight from the can since I was pounding Natty Ice in college. LOL

I'll second (and third, etc.) Ten Fidy, Old Viscosity, and Ol' Raspy. I'll toss in Night Stalker as well.

KBS is thick? Have I been getting bad batches all these years?

Natty Ice isn't a stout though.

While visiting here in Maine, discovered nice imperial called Sexy Chaos by Marshall Wharf Brewing. A terrible name, but a good thick and potent stout.

Yeah I'm not getting how everyone is saying it's thick. As for DORIS, yes it's thick, tasty? Not so much. Overpriced? Is it brewed by Hopping Frog? XD

Can't go wrong with Stone IRS or Founders IS, both stick to the ribs.
