Interesting. Well, I hope they return to the use of the hose! In the meantime, I won't stop drinking their delicious beer!

If I needed a 32 oz. standard wide-mouth "jug" style growler, I'd just buy a bottle of Mississippi Mud for $2.99 and cut the plastic shrink-wrap label off of it. Not the greatest beer but since the price is cheaper than some places charge for an empty growler, just think of it as "free beer". (In some markets, one can occasionally find a Saranac beer in the same bottles from Matt's [the contract brewer of MM]).

The mud jug looks pretty cool without the label. I have a couple just because they look cool. I use them for loose change.

Portland Growler Co. sells 32-oz wide-mouth swing-top growlettes made out of ceramic. Check 'em out.

This Austin Beerworks Sputnik 32oz aluminum growler from Liberty Bottleworks has served me well (stolen pic, mine is actually silver w/ the same graphics)... I'm convinced they made them for all the people wouldn't stop bitching about them not canning Sputnik (lol).

Nice seal on it too (clicks closed).

Full art detail for those who care (it's awesome)
