I have a batch of wheat beer that I want to use to make some sort of mixed drink for a BBQ this weekend. I've found a few recipes for beer sangria but most call for lager. I've also found a couple other recipes involving liquor (which I'd rather avoid) that I'll post below. I'm leaning towards the Isar Water recipe so far. Anybody have any other suggestions?

    Beer Sangria

2 Bartlett pears, peeled and chopped
1 cup plus 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
    Four 12-ounce bottles lager, chilled
    1 cup triple sec
    Ice
2 Bosc pears, sliced, for garnish

    Directions

    1. In a food processor, combine the Bartlett pears
with 2 tablespoons of the lemon juice and process
    to a puree.

    2. Slowly pour the beer into a pitcher. Stir in the
remaining 1 cup of lemon juice, the triple sec and
the pear puree. Fill pint glasses halfway with ice.
Add the sangria and garnish with the Bosc pear slices.

    Plum, Raspberry Sangria Recipe

    Ingredients Serves 1 servings
    1 oz vodka (pearl plum)
    1 oz raspberry (puree)
    1 oz simple syrup

    12 oz lime juice
    2 ozs wheat beer

Isar Water (a.k.a. Swamp Beer, Dirty Beer)

Named for the Isar River, used by the famous Munich Breweries.
Bavarians are known for their love of wheat beer, which explains
the base. Pour one ounce Blue Curacao and 2 ounces apple or orange
juice into a glass. Fill with a wheat beer, such as Paulaner Hefeweizen.
When made correctly, this drink is a swampy green in appearance.

Got this from a HyVee seasons magazine last month, pretty good for a hot day!

2 (12 oz) bottles Boulevard wheat beer, chilled
    4 c. Hy-Vee lemonade, chilled
    1/2 c. citrus vodka
    Lemon and lime slices, optional
