Halftime, Holiday Wine Cellar and Bruisin Ales regularly have different Cantillon varieties.

I don't really get this. Lowering prices isn't going to make the beer any less popular among the apparently growing ranks of Lambic fans. So what he's really saying is he'd rather the beer go to whoever happens to be lucky enough to show up at the right store on the right day (or has connections or wins a raffle or whatever) than whoever's willing to pay a higher price in keeping with demand. There's nothing inherently wrong with that I suppose, but I'm curious what the reason is.

I was talking to a few shops yesterday and they were telling me that Shelton is lowering prices across the board on many of the brands they carry.

My hope is that price cutting policy would apply to Cantillon as well. (even if only because Jean forced their hand)

ok so if cut a dollar of the big ones, its STILL rediculously expensive. I mean Classic would still be damn near 10 bucks for 375 mL

That's actually what these things typically go for (if you're lucky). If you think that's too expensive then lambics/gueuze probably aren't for you.

Oh I know. Im not opposed to buying them at that price if I see them in a store. Ive bought them even higher. In terms of beer, I think thats high, but I pay because gueuze/lambic tastes like heaven and angel dust.

What this guy says.... You basically have to shank people for Cantillon lately. It's good but I would rather have a DF or Boon MP a lot of the time.

The Boon MP Kriek is some seriously good stuff too... Not easy to find in Mass though.

MP (Kriek) has been on the shelves here in Atlanta for a while, but it seems as though there is less and less. I've bought probably 15 or so bottles over the past year-ish.

Not sure saving a buck or two on Cantillon really matters much to me.

    0 bottles * $25
    0 bottles * $23

Still leaves me with 0 bottles. :slight_frown:

I don't acknowledge beers with under 50 reviews.
