So I'm in an intramural softball league that allows drinking while playing. I'm looking for some nice, light, easy drinking beers to bring along with me. I was thinking SNPA or MT Fortunate Islands. Also consider I live in San Diego. Any ideas?

I dont think you can go wrong with MT canned offering, especially while being out and active.

Look for anything that reads : session. It's a new buzz word these days for lighter offerings.

Is it just me or are sessions just as expensive (or moreso) than the "regular" beers.

    In some cases, yes.

While they could be cheaper, due to using less malt, and usually, less hops, it's not always the case.

I always thought they used more hops to compensate for the lighter malts, especially if you're dealing with session IPAs.

I forgot to mention they should be in cans, but that might be a given.

Craft lagers are what you're looking for like Brooklyn Lager, Sam Adams Boston Lager, Long Fin Lager, Sierra Nevada Vienna Lager.
