My first batch of sour beer is finally ready to package, and I'm hoping to package it all (40-50 gallons) in the 375 mL Belgian Style crown finish bottles that Crooked Stave uses. I'm not sure if any of you save your bottles, but I am trading a bottle of the finished beer for a case of 12 empties. This batch is a burgundy sour aged with several strains of Brett, Pedio, and Lacto in a 3rd use Bourbon barrel for over a year. There are a lot of fruit variants as well (Pluot, Peach, Nectarine, Blackberry, Blueberry, and Mango).

Let me know if you have any bottles for trade and I'll make sure you get some once it's packaged.

I can start saving you some going forward. Don't have any currently as they all went in the recycling.

I have around 20 bottles. If you don't mind, about half have wax on the neck.

Do these cap with normal 12oz. caps?

Be careful when you cap them. More than half of the CS bottles I've tried to cap have shattered at the neck. I've given up on using them. It's a bummer having 375mL of beer full of tiny shards of glass.

I would rather be sodomized by an angry bear than hand bottle 40-50 gallons of beer. Why don't you keg it for fucks sake? Are you at least gonna smoke a lot of meth while bottling?

Those would be great. I'll figure out how to get the wax off.

I will be kegging some of it but I want to bottle a lot of it for cellaring, giving them away, and submissions for competitions.

If you're capping them with a butterfly capper, you need to use the 29mm metal brackets (that brace against the neck -- in most butterfly cappers you just pop them out and turn them around) and the 26mm bell. The neck is wider than a typical bottle.

I also can start saving up some bottles, as I know I'll be drinking some of them in the near future. Let me know when you need them by and I'll make sure to have them drunk by then!

If anyone has any bottles available, I'm ready to bottle the nectarine and blackberry batches. I'm sweetening the deal and offering a bottle of sour for every 6 empties. They both turned out pretty great and these are just the first of 8 fruit batches, so if you don't have any ready yet I'll definitely need more shortly.

PM me if you have bottles available and I'll arrange pickup. Thanks in advance!
