I'm getting married next September on the panhandle in Florida and I'm trying to come up with some good beer for the reception. I will have access to beer in NC and DC as well. Does anyone have any suggestions? Good releases for that time of year? Thanks

Looking for something that will work for a large group of people, some of whom aren't into craft beer?

If that's the case, Mother Earth's Endless River Kolsch might be a nice option considering the location and time of year.

I'm actually looking for both. I will have craft beer lovers at the wedding and some who just want something easy drinking. Thanks for the rec, I'll look it up!

Since you'll be in Florida, I'd go with the Cigar City Hotter than Helles.

OMB Cptn James Jack Pilsner is out during summer, its a German pilsner and is good. NoDa Hop Drop is one of my favorite IPA's and I love to drink them on a hot day. NoDa and OMB have a bunch of other good beers to check out as well like Copper (OMB) and Jam Session ( NoDa). NoDa only cans Hop Drop and Jam Session I think but you can get growlers of pretty much everything else they have which is all pretty good.

Cigar City Florida Cracker is much better IMO. Different style, as FL Cracker is a Witbier, but I thought Helles Lager was just so-so.

Second the NC suggestions. Jai Alai cans would also be a good IPA option. Cigar City's Invasion Pale Ale is good I hear. Virginia has access to Firestone Walker - Union Jack is great. Also, Troeg's Sunshine Pils is a good summer beer (can get in VA).

For a wedding, if youre pleasing lots of people, Mother Earth Endless River/Big Boss Angry Angel/Foothills Torch Pils are all solid choices. Year round, accessible, and crowd-pleasing. Dont forget Highland Gaelic.

Invasion would be a hit among those less into beer.
Jai Alai is amazing when fresh, get that shit!
And if you're lucky try to score some White Oak Jai Alai.

Invasion Pale Ale is awesome. I bought some this past weekend that was canned 2 weeks ago and it was fresh and delicious. I was getting all my in-laws (non craft beer ppl) to try it and everyone said they liked it.

I had CCB Florida Cracker and Maduro at my wedding reception. Florida Cracker was a HUGE hit! 90% of the guests don't drink craft or never heard of Cigar City but everyone was drinking it and telling me how much they loved it. It was a great sight seeing FL Cracker and Maduro cans all over the place!

I second the Mother Earth suggestions. Endless river is a good choice and they have a pale ale and summer seasonal hefeweizen in cans also.
