    Greetings from Georgia ,Tbilisi

I am an representative of Huge Holding JSC Nikora which owns 7 most powerful companies in Georgia.

One of it called Intrade Ltd. is responsible for importing beer product and deliver it to the total Georgian region.. You can find further information regarding our holding on our web-site-http://nikora.ge/?lang=english

Now we want to renew our beer portfolio and add Hasseroder beer but unfortunately I don't have an information who is the owner of this brand.

Could you help me ? It will be very kind from you.

From Wikipedia: "Hasseröder is a brewery in Wernigerode, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany, owned by Anheuser-Busch InBev."

The first thing I'd do is contact whoever distributes Stella Artois to your region. They can perhaps steer you in the right direction, since SA is also an AB-InBev brand.

Here is a link to contact at InBev Deutschland, they might be able to help you.

Just a guess, but InBev is not usually very generous giving their brands out of hand to other importers other than their own InBev houses.

On a side note, InBev is trying to sell the brand along with Diebels, a deal was almost made a few months ago with a German finance group, but at the last minute it was abandoned.

For sure. A beer that was truly "dumbed down" over the years. It was basically the only Altbier that made national distribution, but as many Germanophiles here know, no one outside of Duesseldorf really gives a rat's ass about Altbier.

Does Diebels Altbier sell well in non-Duesseldorf Germany?

    Cheers!

No, it's more of a novelty or for those who are originally from DDorf and move away. It seems the further you move away from Duesseldorf, less cases are being sold. According to my sources, they only sold 280,000 hectoliter in 2017 down from a high in 2001 (when AB bought Diebels) of 1.52 million hectoliters. ABInBev killed the brand.

I’m surprised to hear it didn’t sell well. It was fairly ubiquitous in Heidelberg and even on a menu or two. That said, I’m not sure I ever saw anyone buying one.

Diebels was a caramel laden Alt, not refreshing. I stopped drinking it after a couple.
