This crazy guy. Does anyone know if it is anywhere around in PA/NJ? It says it is a 'brewed once', but I know sometimes that can be inaccurate. Looking for any info really, cost, amount bottles, if you want to trade me any......

    Cheers!

It was a B. United import, and was available in NJ via Hunterdon distributors a couple of years ago now, but can't think of a recent sighting.

Notice that on the B. United site that it's now in a larger bottle, and not the original "steinie" 11.2 oz bottle, so perhaps new batches have hit these shores?

Both the regular and lambicus editions have been available in PA both in bottles and on draft.

The regular one pops up from time to time but the lambicus version i honestly think was a one and done. The brewery website doesnt give details on either (possibly because it is out of season?)

I have retired from trading otherwise I would offer you a bottle of each.

Edit: Jesskidden ladies and gentleman possibly proving me wrong and putting a huge smile on my face. Large format bottle for another release? I hope its true and not just one of those cases where both were originally made available but the smaller bottles were more widely available.

I was able to pick up a couple bottles of this at Wine Works in Marlton, NJ this past May/June. I have not seen anything about the larger bottle that is mentioned above. Maybe give WW a call?

I picked up a bottle in the Philly suburbs maybe 1.5 years ago, but I haven't seen bottles anywhere since. It has showed up on tap around DC several times since then, so either they're still making it or they made a lot of kegs that they held back.

All out, thanks for the tip though....any idea what you paid for it at that time?

Wasn't cheap (receipt dated Nov. 2011, Cranbury BuyRite).

And to think I used to complain about Berliner Kindl Weisse's $12/sixpack price before it left the US market.

I swear I've seen that beer on the shelf before, but it may have been at Charleston Beer Exchange. The fact that it was made by the Leipziger Gose guys leads me to believe it was distributed here, but it looks like that was two years ago, so they're probably gone.

If there were ever a cellar to bring me out of retirement, it would be Hack's, especially if he has his sights set on something
