i bet one of the marty's (particularly marty's big buys) would have some. at worst, you're sure to find someone willing to trade. it stuck around in stores for weeks if it's not still there. excellent beer, but not rare.

 

if marty's doesn't have it i guess you could try gordon's, some others (walsh maybe?). i don't know all around boston, but marty's would definitely be my first try for "reasonably in demand but large release a few months after the fact" b/c they seem to have things for awhile due to overpriced-ness, MBB being underrated, good distributor relationships, etc. if marty's is the shit hole store you mentioned, my apologies

Burlington Wine and Spirits on Middlesex Turnpike has (or at least recently had) it. 43 Middlesex Turnpike, Burlington, Mass. (www.burlingtonwineandspirits.com).

 

I live close to Coolidge cnr too, picked up quite a few at Blanchard's Allston; most recent purchase was a few weeks ago though so I can't speak to their current inventory. Other places in the area worth a shot are Coolidge corner wine and spirits, bay state foods and liquors, Marty's big buys mentioned above, and even Brookline liquor mart (off comm ave in Allston). Pickings are definitely getting slim at this point, but you could get lucky.

 

Blanchard's in Marshfield had some as of last week.
