I know, there's a ton of these threads. But I have a space in my schedule and I'm looking for suggestions.

Going yo Vermont next week (8/13 to18). Staying in Stratton. Thursday and Friday are Beer Days.

Thursday I'm solo. Friday some friends.

Thursday plan is breakfast at Warren Store, pick up some Lawson's. Next is Beverage Warehouse, and hopefully some Heady. Then maybe Fiddleheads.

Planning on Hill Farmstead on Friday.

Looking for suggestions for a second brewery/late lunch/beer bar for Friday. Or should we do Fiddleheads on Friday.

Parker Pie is up by HF, or just go to Waterbury and hit up the bars or 3 Penny in Montpelier

If you are staying at Stratton, swing by Muelemans' Craft Draughts (http://www.craftdraughts.com/) and grab a bottle of the Backacre Sour and maybe some other goodies. They are right at the base of the mountain on Route 30.

Give them a call before venturing out if you're looking for a Backacre release. It's not as if it's just sitting on the shelf.

Oddly enough, Backacre was pretty abundant last weekend. Manchester Discount Beverage had almost a case and I think Greg at Muelemans' was saying his hasn't flown off the shelves either, but I do agree if you are seeking that out, you should call ahead. I was just saying since they will be driving right past it on the same road it wouldn't hurt to pop their heads in.

Didn't mention it in the original post, but I was planning to hit Mueleman's when we arrive on Wednesday.

Thanks everyone for all the input so far.

There was one bottle of Backacre sitting lonely on the shelf at Manchester Beverage when I just went there for lunch. If you're coming up through Albany, you could stop off in Troy at Hoosick Beverage on the way for a great selection as well.

So you're coming back down to Stratton for Thursday night? That is a lot of driving, but could be worth it if you time it right. Would say after Warren Store you've got two options, over Lincoln Gap towards Middlebury and make that a "shorter" driving day. You could hit Drop-In &/or Otter Creek in Middlebury and maybe VT Tap House in Rutland. Or you could make it a longer day and head up towards Waterbury to score Heady if you can't find it still in the Warren retail locations. Friday could then be Hill Farmstead, Lost Nation day.

Head up Rte 7 - stop in Brandon for Foley Bros samples, pints or growlers... (call for hours - (802) 353-1228)... then further north up to Bristol for the Bobcat (opens at 4P, I believe).... or after Warren head up 100 towards Waterbury and BTV then back down 7 to the Bobcat.... Or, the Lincoln Gap as mentioned above (hell of a drive!), puts you right through Bristol; or south from Warren to Rte 73 via Brandon, then north... or..... ;-)

    Prosit!

Stop at the Man of Kent on the way up. If you've never been there it's a great place.

This is a good plan but since you'll be going up rt 7 anyway, add Drop-in and Otter Creek to the list. they are on the way. and plan to eat at the Bobcat since the food is other-worldly
