i am currently in Alamo, CA and am looking for some Russian River beers (especially blind pig) that I can't normally get in CO. I will be driving up to Redding, CA do anything in those areas or at worst as I head back through the SACRAMENTO area even Auburn. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Sorry man, Russian River beers are as hard for us to get as they are for most people. Unless you go to the brewery itself, your only chance of getting them is being at a store that happens to get it that day...and that delivery usually happens once a month.
We really should make a Russian River thread and make it sticky since we have so many of these questions.
I have noticed that RR bottles have really been scarce down in SD lately. Before when LA/OC was seeing less and less I was still seeing consistent shipments coming in...not so much anymore. Hopefully the new brewhouse gets finished soon(tm) and the liquid happiness starts reflowing down here. San Diego - we got 99 breweries but the RR ain't one.
You're about 1 hr 15 min away from Santa Rosa where you're at now. I'd suggest making the drive up to RR seeing as how you're that close and if time permits. From there it's about a 1hr 40min ride to Sacramento. That's your best chance to find their beers. The Sacramento area gets shipments here and there as far as I know.
I haven't seen RR stuff in over a month in L.A. -- but others may have seen here and there. The typical slowdown around the Younger release seems to be lasting a bit longer than normal.
New brewhouse is up and running! They posted about it on FB a couple of days ago. As previously stated, it's not going to expand distro.
I got some March bottles this month (well i guess last month in march) in LA. But it's definitely sparse, most stores i go to are on 2-3 week period shipments
Yea -- just got some myself today at Beverage Warehouse. They only got one box, though (as opposed to their usual 2-4), so limit was two per customer.
I'd been referring to all in my initial post. But the response above was in reference to picking up a couple bottles of Pliny, in particular. Sorry for the confusion there -- definitely wasn't clear on my part.
"Wake up, wake up, its the first Wed of the month...at least that seems to be the ebb & flow up here. Peace, Bizzy
